Hiding watched shows from official app calender

Are there any plans to add a filter to the calender in the official ios app to hide shows already watched? This is already available on the website version, and also on the app Watcht that @Ohifriend developed.

It would be nice to have the feature in the official app as it would remove a lot of unnecessary clutter. For example, there are BBC shows that are available to watch in entirety in the iPlayer that have not yet been fully broadcast on TV eg “The Gold”. Now that I have seen this show, I do not need to see episodes appearing in the weeks ahead as I have finished watching already.

Thanks.

Not to take away from the actual request, but for your specific use case with BBC, would it make more sense for you to ‘Hide’ the show (long press in the app for options) in question from your calendar? (or ‘drop’ the show, which should also hide it from calendar)

Already thought of doing that, but if it is a continuing show, I will need to remember to undrop the show after the last episode has aired. That show was only one example. I’ve had at least 4 shows this year with the same situation.

Another solution is to stop using the app, I suppose, but apart from this one issue, the official app is really good.

Ah I think I see what you mean - I missed/misunderstood the part you were referring to about having already seen episodes that are technically airing in the future (based on the air date) but you’ve already seen in ‘advanced screening’, rather than the past.

For clarity, is it the actual calendar screen you’re looking to filter:

or the Upcoming schedule on the dashboard?

or both?

Both would be perfect, but the calendar screen is the one I was originally looking at.

If it’s possible to add this filter to calendar view, that would be great.

Try out the latest beta build and let me know if that solves the issue for now.

That works for me.

Thanks.

Looks great! Any chance a filter to hide blank dates to compress the calendar can be place here as well?

But make blank dates suppression optional, please. :slightly_smiling_face:

I like seeing blank dates because it helps with planning.

Unfortunately the current implementation (in regard to being able to “infinitely scroll in both directions”) can only work with blank dates. I’m hoping once we get a refreshed calendar design we might be able to be a bit more dynamic/and or support things like this.

Fair enough. Thanks for looking into it.
