How to deal with "Up Next" for long running shows that you only started watching and do not intend to start from the beginning?

Only started watching it and do want to know when new ones are coming out.
But I don’t have to plans to watch it from S01E01.

Is there a current way to deal with this?

I believe the only way right now is to hide all the seasons you aren’t going to watch

Like the user above said, you can hide the seasons you don’t intend to watch in your progress section.
