Improving marking a show as watched after resetting progress

Hi,
I often rewatch shows when a new season comes out and use the ‘reset progress’ feature do track it easily. It shows up in my ‘up next’ which is great, but it takes me 3 taps (or clicks) to mark an episode as watched when you’ve already watched it.

My suggestion is: When a show is in up next. tapping the track button should add a play according to the settings, even if it already has a view.

Just to show what im talking about:
If I want to mark an episode in my up next as watched, but I have already watched that episode before I have to click 3 times:

  • once on the ‘add to watched history’ button
  • Then on the clock icon here:

  • Then click ‘Right Now’

Where as on a non-watched show I would only have to click once.
It would make more sense to me if these buttons would be functionally the same, as I don’t know why you would want to remove a play in your ‘up next’. But I can see how it might be confusing that the button in that context does something different to anywhere else on the site.

It would make the reset progress feature more useful.

Without going into details, yes, I concur, handling (rewatching) shows UE-wise leave something to be desired and should be looked into.
Maybe we can hope this will be addressed as soon as the dust of the tmdb migration has settled and apart from all shiny little apps the website itself is starting to get back some much desired and deserved love.

Regarding the reset function I’d also like a more direct access.

Afaik there currently is only one option to initiate a reset, via progress where you’ll have to dig through all your recorded shows. It should be possible to directly search for a specific show and hit reset.
