Inconsistency in library / episodes / seasons

During a Plex Sync today a new series I added to my library developed some inconsistencies.

As can be seen it’s showing I’ve collected more than the actual number of episodes. But the count that’s off isn’t the “collected” number but the expected total episodes:

Then, when going to look at the page with the seasons, it shows nothing collected in Library for season 25

Which becomes confusing when on the season 25 page which shows again nothing collected in the summary:

Yet, clearly shows the 4 episodes collected:

Removing them and attempting to add them gives the error that it hasn’t aired yet, which is clearly incorrect as the season aired December 2025, but it will each time add them as collected on each episode just not the season.

Then proceeding to season 24, it shows “4 of 2” collected:

Yet, there are 4 episodes listed (which is correct) and all 4 collected

I’ve cleared cache, refreshed TMDB, etc but the total episode count remains incorrect.

Hi,
It seems those episodes are indeed in your Library.
I’ve tried adding those episodes to my Library, and they do show up correctly when I do it. So it seems to be an issue specific to your account. Can you try seeing that data on another browser or a different device just to make sure it isn’t related to anything in the browser you are using?
If that continues happening, can you try to remove them from your Library in your Library items? Then try manually adding them again and see if this fixes the display issue.

As for the airdates. TMDB doesn’t have airdates for season 25 and for the last episodes of season 24, that’s why it says they haven’t aired.

Already tried numerous browsers and devices. Already removed and readded several times.

Series is locked on both TVDB and TMDB so I can’t edit the airdates and correct the numerous mistakes on TMDB, but they’re clearly visible on IMDb. FWIW just about every season on TMDB has the wrong dates.

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0118401/episodes/?season=23&ref_=ttep

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0118401/episodes/?season=24&ref_=ttep (showing it has aired)

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0118401/episodes/?season=25&ref_=ttep (showing it clearly has aired)

Ok, then it seems the display issue is related to the fact that the episodes don’t have airdates.
From what I tested, it seems the the “library” icon won’t be filled if the items haven’t aired. But if I manually add a date for an episode of that season, it works.

TMDB doesn’t have dates for some episodes of that show because of their rules. A moderator there explained in one of their discussions that:

This is a United Kingdom ITV series. Consequently, we follow the dates of the original broadcasts done by ITV, even if the episodes have already been broadcasted elsewhere in the world.

Therefore, they can’t add those dates there.

On our end, we are testing something in the new website to be able to get dates from other databases when this happens at TMDB. I’ll check with a developer on monday if we can get those dates for this show. Keep in mind that the data will only show up at V3.

As for the issue with the collection not being marked. That will only be fixed once TMDB has airdates for that season.

This seems thoroughly absurd tbh. We can’t add items from TMDB here unless it has an IMDb entry, then when IMDb has the correct info then conveniently you only accept TMDB.

Why?

You do realize how absurd it is for Trakt to basically be telling me (and others) or insinuating that V2 is ending soon when your post above is asking me to perform tests, actions, etc. that can only be done in V2…
