iOS app suddenly not available in my country

I have a new device and was trying to re-install the Trakt official app but got the not available in your country error from the App Store.

How come? It’s on my other iPhone and my iPad. If it’s no longer available, I’m no longer going to get updates?

Bonjour j’ai le même problème de mon côté app indisponible sur le store d’apple

I also don’t see it in the App Store.

It’s listed in Apps I have downloaded before though, but I can’t open the page with details from there.

Luckily I became VIP recently and can therefore use the TestFlight version (which still seems to be available).

I just checked the iOS App Store and also cannot find it anymore. Also VIP and luckily can still get it via test flight.

Also strangely just noticed this (UK) after attempting to transfer data to a new phone.

Attempted to update from Canada and same issue. I assume from comment above VIP can get even newer versions through TestFlight?

Yes beta version for vip users are still available.

The public version should be available in all app stores again. Sorry about that!

all good! thank you.

A quick note for anybody that encounters this in the future: In many cases you can download previously purchased apps that are no longer in the App Store.

  • Go to the App Store
  • Click on your account (your icon, top-right).
  • Touch Apps
  • Touch My Apps
  • Search for the missing app.

This won’t always work, especially for stuff that is years old, anything from the 32-bit era will give a “Cannot Connect” error, etc. But for the most part, apps that are temporarily delisted, no longer available in your country, or otherwise not listed in the app store will be accessible.
