First of all, I apologize if this post might not belong here in this forum, but I really don’t know what else to do.
I’m having an issue trying to link my Trakt.tv account to the Palantir 3 add-on in Kodi 21.1 on a Windows 11 system.
Problem description:
- Initial setup: I installed Kodi 21.1 and added the Palantir 3 add-on.
- Trakt.tv linking: When activating the option to link my Trakt.tv account in the Palantir 3 settings, a message appears on the screen that should display a URL and a PIN code to complete the linking process.
- Issue: The message appears incomplete; neither the URL nor the PIN code needed for activation is shown.
Actions taken:
- Reinstalling the add-on: I uninstalled and reinstalled Palantir 3, as well as Kodi (tried both the 64-bit and 32-bit versions).
- Resetting to the default skin: I reverted to Kodi’s default skin to rule out display issues.
- System restart: I restarted Kodi and the operating system.
- Forum consultation: I checked forums and found suggestions about clearing the add-on’s cache, but this didn’t solve the issue.
- Version verification: I confirmed that both Kodi and Palantir 3 are updated to their latest versions.
Additional observations:
- Functioning on other devices: I have the same setup on a Fire Stick and an Android device, and the Trakt.tv linking works perfectly on both.
- Reference from Trakt.tv: According to this Trakt.tv article, if the code doesn’t appear on the device, it’s recommended to ensure the add-on is updated to the latest version, as older authentication methods might no longer be supported. However, as I mentioned before, everything is up to date.
Has anyone experienced a similar issue and found an effective solution?
I’d greatly appreciate any guidance or suggestions you could provide.
