Emby's trakt plugin cannot connect to the trakt account

When I entered the pin code in the trakt plugin of emby, the connected app in the trakt account settings did not show that emby was connected.

The same thing happens with Kodi. It seems to be an API issue.

But I can use Zidoo z9k8k (an Android playback device) to connect to my Trakt account and sync it normally. Now only Emby can’t connect to Trakt, which is very strange.

Probably need to contact Emby’s support team and Kodi’s support teams to see why those third party apps won’t connect. All Trakt can do is open the API for them to use so there’s really nothing they can provide support for in these instances.

I have the same issue … spoke to Emby team and they are getting a forbidden response.

Im also having issues pulling data from Trakt into another application

Thank you for your reply. I have found a solution. When I created an API in the Trakt account settings and pointed it to the https domain name of my Emby reverse proxy, Trakt immediately showed that it was connected to Emby and could be synchronized normally.

Ahhh…yes, don’t forget your Takt API!!!

I can’t sync Kodi with Trakt, when I get the message with the pin to sync there is no number between the quotes. Without connecting to Trakt it won’t let me use Palantir 3.

My guess is they need to update to the new access token 24 hour expiration. We emailed twice and posted on our GitHub about this change. I saw another user indicate changing the token expiration to 24 hours fixed the problem.

Anyone know if the plugin will be updated to refresh token every 24hrs in order to resolve?

You should ask the plug-in developers.
