My Primary Use of Trakt Is Now Useless

I switched to Trakt because you could sort “Currently Watch” in such a way that most recent next unwatched episode (for example today would be the new Rick & Morty season premiere) would appear first and I know it’s back and ready to watch, but now I have to go searching for it and scroll past everything that I have watched since.

Is there a plan to bring the same customised sorting back for this list in the near feature or is there a third party app that will definitely do this and will sync with Trakt when I check “Watched”?

I loved the old website version and dashboard, this migration to a phone and tablet friendly UI is liking a brand new project, near the start of the roadmap with all the useful features lost. I’m trying to give it a chance but it’s gone from convenient to inconvenient.

While we don’t have a way to choose the default sorting of the “Continue Watching” section, in the website you can sort that section in the full view:

Mine doesn’t show that option, it shows this instead.

Is that a VIP exclusive “sort by”? When you do sort by “Release Date” does it do it be Release date of the very first episode or by the release date of the first unwatched episode (which is what the old trakt was able to do)

That option you clicked is the filters, not the sorting options. You need to click in this icon specifically:

The release date should be the release date of the next episode.

Oh good lord, how long has that been there? Is it relatively new? Seems to have done the trick! Thank you so much!

Shame the sort doesn’t stick after returning to dashboard, but hey, it’s workable for now, maybe it’s in the works for future improvements
