I donāt even think that youāre in the minority of the power users of this site. I think most of us, especially the paying users, use the desktop version of the app more than mobile. I normally just use mobile for if Iāve been to the cinema or to quickly look something up but I have always had my trakt tab open on my desktop to track anything Iāve watched in the last whatever amount of time.

God I clicked on the trakt icon on the website again and got to the stupid v3 page again.
IN DUTCH eeeeeek, even more reason to stay away. lol.
If you canāt even offer local tv guides, why translate the website in another language.

I guess I donāt even care about the rest of the website moving to v3 anymore. All I care about is the dashboard, just keep that as it is. No horizontal scrolling and vertical expanding segments. I donāt need the rest of Trakt really, lol. Expect maybe the v2 progress page.
For adding new shows Iāll just quickly search it mark the first episode and watched (could never be as quickly as it is now sadly) and then pretend I never saw anything of the new site and go back to dashboard again.
Will just be using other sites to find out about what to watch.

I had the app for a while and just deleted it recently because I literally never used it. Iāve got the Plex scrobbler set up, so outside of, as you mentioned, going to a movie at the theater, or occasionally watching something at a friends house, I very rarely need to quickly log having watched something. Iāve always used the website to do more detailed work, like adding things to/making lists, checking my year to date stats (Iām always very interested in the by day/by week/by month graphs, just to see how my own habits change over time) or to check the āAnticipatedā page for upcoming shows I might be interested in. Even if I can do any of that on the app, I donāt want to, and v3 feels like being forced to use the app

Or an episode when youāre not at home but at a friend or something.
But Iāve been using mobile Trakt /dashboard for that for months too.

I believe they changed the wording from āWatching Nowā to āCheck In,ā but theyāre functionally the same thing. Pretty dumb, really.
Trakt was a service I loved. One I recommended to people. A service that I was happy to pay for, even if it was $5 a month. Since the introduction of āwatched at an unknown dateā, it had all the features I ever wanted, and I would have been okay with paying these $5 per month even if all feature development basically stopped.
Being thrown into Trakt Lite today broke my heart.
Iām not even gonna talk about all the features itās lacking, let alone the soul itās lacking.
v3 is a mistake, and weāve been vocal about this every step of the way. Having it forced upon us nevertheless is a clear sign of where this relationship is headed, and Iām not having it.
Cancelled my VIP a few minutes ago. Itās still valid until October, and a lot can change until thenāfor the better, or not.
Iām not angry, Trakt. Iām not āafraid of changeā. I donāt hate you, or anyone involved in this decision. What I am is deeply sad and disappointed, and I feel betrayed. Here was this one website that brought me joy and wonder and excitement every time I opened it, because movies and shows are a passion of mine.
Now itās just one more service that inevitably turns against its users. Itās a damn shame, really.

This is the most disgusting update Iāve ever seen in my life, you should all be ashamed of yourselves to even present something like this to your customers.
I seriously hope the classic version stays on the side, even if itās not updated by you as a team, otherwise I and many others will be out and this site will close for good as youāll likely receive very little revenue tbh.

I guess this must be the new trakt - so I guess my feedback is that itās not great that someone looking at the site thinks it broke somewhere as a first thought.
I canāt see that itās possible to look at my history page and filter for stuff Iāve not rated yet and it looks like the ratings are now only whole stars out of 5 and itās not possible to do out of 10 or give half stars?

I know that I will get a shit ton of downvotes for this message, just as I did for saying ātheyāre not forcing us to use the new beta appā (when they werenāt), but fair, people are angry, and they need to take it out on someone, even if itās me lol.
BUT: They do listen to and answer my requests and reports over on GitHub. And that really makes it seem like they care. Iām just as disappointed as you by them not making any statement on whatās going on, responding to concerns, and potentially admitting mistakes theyāve made. I just donāt get it. Theyāre driving me crazy because they talk over there, but the forum looks completely abandoned.

Tracking multiple viewings, lists which you can screen by what is available for streaming in your chosen services, extensive and detailed statistics, to name a few.

I exclusively use the website, and I have it open on my laptop on a tab at all times, and I do everything manually. And Iām cool with paying $60 a year for the functionality that v2 has because of it.

Exactly, this is the boat that a lot of us are in. 100% willing to pay $60 a year with zero complaint, because v2 gives us everything that no other site currently can. When I logged in and was forced into v3, I almost panicked because I couldnāt find or do anything. By far the most important feature of the list without match is to be able to filter the list to show you the things that are currently streaming on the services you subscribe to, and you donāt even do that. Thatās a huge problem for me, and a dealbreaker long term if it isnāt added.

Per the announcement, your goals were to āmake it faster, cleaner and ready for the decade to come.ā In my personal experience trying to use Lite, and looking at the feedback above, it is clear that you have managed to fail in every way possible. Perhaps itās āfasterā in some way for you guys? But itās indecipherable an difficult to use on the consumer side, so unless the plan for the decade to come is sunsetting the productā¦

I donāt know what more to say that hasnāt already been said. This is obviously unusable, and Iām mildly panicking at the thought of how best to save my data and migrate it off a platform that is now broken and unstable.
I love this site and have used it for years. Iāve gifted VIP subscriptions to others because of how much the site has meant to me. I will remain hopeful that somebody on the other side has the sense to prevent this calamity from moving forward. But if we donāt get a major mea culpa in the next 11 months, Iāll be canceling my VIP and it will be a really sad day.
Devs, please reconsider. Every piece of feedback before me is uniformly negative. Add mine to the pile, and please reconsider everything youāre thinking. This is not the way.

This site / forum is their official support medium, not those other locations. Yet thereās zero response here.

āFeedback was requested here and it has been provided, but mostly what I see is people whining, making threats, and being disrespectfulāmaking a huge deal out of the fact that their movie and TV show tracking site is changing.
āI understand that you might like the old website better than the new one, but I donāt understand the completely disproportionate reactions from many of you at all.
