i used to have this and change the month every month, make a page to convert the old link to new usable. Abomination not to be able to check new shows and new seasons in a way

For the love of me please tell me how to view new shows meaning S1 E1 and new seasons of old shows meaning E1. If you like V3 then you must have all the features of V2, not make it look better, you have stripped out everything that the user wanted and used. Why does the below returns no information? how to do it.
I tried to calendar but i was struggling to see the calendar as it justs rows now to decipher.
Boy you ruined my Summer.
I was laid off three months ago, and i was never so frustrated since i login today to see iām forced to use the V3.

Additionally have just noticed that there is no way to tell if a movie or a show is in Library/Collection without going to Library and looking for it, which is downright counter intuitive for people who like to collect media. Additionally, I have noticed that Library at the moment has no option to filter properly. I can only select if I want to see shows or movies and selecting shows shows all individual episodes, when I would rather have it show shows, especially when I have hundreds of shows collected which amounts to probably several thousand episodes. Also, filter icon on the top right corner is greyed out.
Please let me know if I am just missing something.

Trakt is one of the services I use the most every single day, which is exactly why this has been so frustrating.
This isnāt about resisting change. Itās about forcing everyone onto a redesign that still doesnāt seem to have feature parity with the previous site.
For me, the biggest loss is the calendar. I relied on the Finales filter to quickly see when a season had finished airing, and I canāt find it anymore. The same goes for the iCal feed. If these features still exist, theyāve become far too difficult to find.
Another issue is the Library. My Plex server syncs automatically with Trakt, so new movies and shows are added to my Library. However, when I remove something from Plex, I manually remove it from my Trakt Library to keep everything clean. Unless Iām completely missing it, I can no longer remove items from my Library in V3. If thatās intentional, itās a major regression. If the option still exists, itās much harder to find than it should be.
I also simply donāt enjoy the new UI. The previous desktop experience felt cleaner, faster, easier to navigate, and I even preferred the old red theme.
What disappoints me the most is that we used to have the choice to stay on the previous interface while the new one matured. Removing that choice before V3 reaches feature parity feels like the wrong decision.
Iām trying to keep this constructive, but Iām honestly extremely frustrated. I rarely post feedback like this, but this rollout has genuinely pushed me to speak up. Please donāt replace a mature, feature-complete interface with one that still feels unfinished.

yeah, it is a mystery, which it shoudnāt be. If someone can tell from this picture that the movie is in my libray i will give him 1.000$
When a site makes a new design there is always nagging about oh liked the blue better i liked my icon there please move it up etc. You get used of the new changes and you move along.
BUT
Here is not about a new design, here is a new design that have stripped almost every function of tractk, no way to see libray items, no way to see new shows, you cannot even see if a movie is in your library, that is not a calendar is an excel row sheet, what was the point of the filters that we all build and there gone, you go to see what are the new shows from the calendar, no option to do that. Change the UI not remove functions and fetures.

Aside from all the other user-unfriendly changes, what is the monstrosity History has become? Starting from the incredibly baffling āwhat two things was it watched betweenā requirement when adding anything by āother dateā, to this absolutely useless UI that tells you very little on one viewing. Give me back my block of last 30 things in order, with no wasted space. Thatās the only format where putting something watched in the evening before something watched in the afternoon makes sense. Breaking it down by day, it should go in the order you watched them.

It would be nice to see my voting right away on the cover and not first to click on the three dots. I also would like to sort my lists like in the old version (date, scoring, title, etc.) No need to sort it manually. There were lots of ways to sort my lists in the old version. And the library is no use at all in this state. Give me back the option to put movies and shows manually to my library and show this on the cover.

Maybe ask the people using the platform first? Modernizing isnāt always whatās best. I would like āLeast Completedā restored as it was so I can see how far into a season I am. Also used to assist me in marking episodes done. I want to keep supporting this site and app, but tired of site owners not reaching out to their subscribers and visitors. Maybe allow someone to CHOOSE to modernize.

So, if i had vip, i could use the classic mode. That was written in a blogpost. They said, they will not update the old mode anymore. I was fine with that. But now itās gone for good, did i get this right?

And i just extended my vip for 2 years. What a bummer.

V3 is the earliest of buggy Beta releases rather than a production ready product.
It should still be in a closed test environment, not dumped to Live with the expectation of fix forward, that should not be how this works.

oh god this is awful, how can I make this abomination go away and make it look like before? nothing works, everything is named weird and in the most unintuitive places, I search for minutes to find the most basic functions, nothing is where youād expect, dozens of unnecessary posters and pictures everywhere, buttons without descriptions, all the bookmark links are dead, rip progress page.
just keep the old thing forever, literally NOBODY needs this. donāt force me to move to some other platform or back to excel. I donāt need shit that is optimized for āengangementā, thatās just wasting my time
this is last.fm all over again. they destroyed their site with the new design back in 2012

further issues, trying to be constructive, but I wonder why I even put up with this:
- buttons without text description are untuitive, I never know what the thing I click will do, and thereās not even a mouse over tooltip
- excluded shows from progress list needed to be excluded again. couple of hundred clicks with a very annoying ānotesā extra click. thanks, Iām through maybe 20 % of the work for now and there seems to be no way of seeing what shows have been hidden from progress list now
- library view somehow by default jumps to a āplexā? library, though I donāt use or want plex, even when I select the ācustomā library (which is the default), when I go back to history, it selects this plex thing
- no ratings are displayed anywhere, not on seasons, not on shows, not my own ratings or the % from others. just when I explicitly open the one single item (like season, show). to find the 1 unrated season from 18 episodes, I now have to manually go through each one?
- progress list spaghetti layout is annoying, just use one line per item, not a never ending āSā. this is a desktop pc, not a dumb phone, we are superior. I donāt want card layout, Iām a serious user, not casual
- spoilers hide my own comments (make them blurry), like I donāt want to spoiler myself with my own comment
- is there no viewing a single episode or season anymore? just this slide in afterthought?
- when entering a play and selecting āother dateā, there is no way to edit the date field or pop out a calendar, oh man, isnāt that the most basic functionality for trakt? like the MVP of MVPs
- I want 10 stars back aswell as their description (fair, good, great, etc.), we are not letterboxd.
since I brought a couple of my friends and family to trakt, I am now also the tech support because everybody is confused and doesnāt find the most basic functions, great. some already stopped a couple of months ago when this was forced on phones

Where is the import function? Was it removed with the new design?
I just watched a movie which has a page on TMDB, but I canāt find it on Trakt. Formerly, Iād be able to import it and log it, but apparently not anymore?
Please return this functionality, itās incredibly useful, especially for someone like me who watches a lot of obscure lesser-known anime from the 80s and 90s.

tmdb pages need to have external ids before the item will import. once the show has either imdb or tvdb tags itāll import in up to 24 hours
I cannot tell if a movie or show is on my lists in v3.

now, that was the link that was used before to get the new shows, i took that and created a new one inside a php page. no github, if someone wants to open one i will give the file. Iām not a total vibe coder i konw stuff but iām a systems guy.

First let me throw my name into the overflowing hat of users who wish to have the option to still use v2 (vip or otherwise)
Iāve noticed that shows are missing and there no longer seems to be any way to import from tmdb.
There also no longer appears to be a way to add seasons of shows to lists (the only option for seasons appears to be 'report")
Example of show thats now missing that wasnāt Takeshiās Castle Rebooted (2013) may only have 6 episodes but its one that I was in the middle of watching regardless.

quick question as I donāt have the time to keep up with everything happening in the forum:
What has been the most recent post/statement by anybody from the trakt-team about the (at least from what Iām seeing) overwhelmingly negative reaction to V3 and the now de facto death of V2 BEFORE every feature has found itās way into V3?
If anybody had a link to a recent statement that would be great. I just want to know what the official stance is on this right now. A couple of months ago when the plans were announced there seemed to be a lot of reasurrance that everything would be fine etc. Whatās their stance now? Do they even give out statements about it anymore, or is critical feedback mostly ignored?
