The new search looks good, but could we get some preference to disable at least the ‘trending searches’, personally I find them distracting.

I like that too. A toggle to turn on or off that feature would be nice. For me, when I search, I only care about what I need to search for, not what is trending.
Silly question - how do you delete any individual / all of your search history in the new search bar? (Probably missing something obvious!).
Very neat and slick though, works a charm and do like the new homepage heading row 
Just checking it out and I like it but I’m confused as to why the second item appears when I have typed past that title?
It uses the same search as the main search page, it is doing a fuzzy search.
