A movie called Playground is currently been streamed on Amazon,
made from the 10 episodes show called ‘Playground’.
It is missing from the trakt database (and from IMDB’s too for that matter)

I’ve added it to TMDB & then to trakt.
But it’s missing a lot of info, feel free to add if you have that information.
(eg. I couldn’t find a proper release date. Prime says 2024, but that’s all I could find. The series it’s based off is from 2017)
Does the movie contain new content though?
If it’s just a compilation it’s not allowed in the movie database and the tv entry should have the theatrical flag at season level.
There’s a 12 minute difference in runtime, so there’s got to be some difference.
Haven’t seen either (not available in my location)
Of course compilations are allowed, they just have to be marked with video=yes. See Pixar Short Films Collection: Volume 1 (2007) — The Movie Database (TMDB) and other similar compilations.
Even more of a reason to add it.
That’s a common misconception. Just because it exists does not mean it’s allowed.
Only thematic compilations of previous short are allowed. Common with kids cartoons.
If it originally aired as a tv show and it only copy pasted together so to speak its not new content and not allowed in the movie database.
Check out the contribution bible here.
Sometimes they don’t follow that entirely. Basically, it seems they allow compilation movies if they aired on theaters or if they have new content.
But there are cases like most of the Kimetsu no Yaiba movies. Some of them are TV only compilations, but in this discussion they confirm that they “allow some kinds, but not all kinds, of professionally released episode compilations.”. So it seems it depends?
Anyway, it seems in this case it would be allowed because of the new content. But maybe it should be set video:true.
