Since a few days Plex Sync seems to be VIP only even it was not about a month ago. What is wrong?
@support . Any comment on this?
Looking at Google it says:
Official Trakt Plex Options
- Plex Sync: Requires Trakt VIP. It automatically syncs your past and ongoing watched history, libraries, and ratings from Plex every hour.
- Plex Webhooks: Also typically require Trakt VIP and a Plex Pass, and are limited to tracking new watch events in real time rather than syncing entire historic libraries.
Free Alternatives
- PlexTraktSync: You can bypass the VIP requirement by self-hosting an open-source, two-way sync script like PlexTraktSync on GitHub. It runs independently and does not require a Trakt VIP or Plex Pass subscription.
Thanks
I’m referencing to this post from Kevin:
Here they stated Plex Sync to make available to non-VIP users.
For me, this is the standard sync function (which was working a while)
A bit delayed from the announcement, but Plex sync is available for free users as of today. You can configure 1 server with a daily refresh for free. If you’re VIP, you can sync multiple servers with an hourly refresh.
