Can we please please please remove the profile picture icon in the search bar in the homepage in the iOS app? It’s just too cluttered up there for the search bar on the homepage.

You cannot type directly into the search bar anyways, it opens up a different screen. What makes it too cluttered?
I like the profile picture there as well.
You have the logo, the actual search box, the hamburger menu, and the photo. That’s what makes it cluttered. Maybe your phone screen is bigger than mine and it doesn’t feel cluttered toy oh but it absolutely does for me
it’s unnecessary to have all those things.
it doesn’t look cluttered to me and it also matches the website. they’ve been trying to make the website and app more consistent.

I understand it doesn’t for you but in my opinion it does which is why I put the request in.
I have the logo on the tab bar on the bottom so it just seems repetitive and I prefer it on the bottom.

You can remove the profile button from the bottom which is what I did.
Maybe if you have the profile button at the bottom, then, the profile button should be hidden at top and vice versa?
I kinda understand your point now. It’s a bit redundant to have the profile photo more than once on the same page. You didn’t mention this at the beginning.

Ah, I also removed the profile button from the bottom, that’s why I’m interested in having it on top. Maybe my screen is bigger indeed, but it looks fine:

I prefer the profile button on the bottom
Which is why I think it’s unneeded at the top in the search bar.
