@justin This account is going around adding people as friends so they’ll click their sketchy link. Is this the right place to report this or would you rather an email?

@justin It appears that it is just like the previous one,
this new one is also going around and liking as many posts as possible.
I was able to trace the link(using an online scanner) and it is definitely sketchy to say the least.
I understand allowing a link in the “About Me” section in case someone wants to link to their social media pages, but would it be possible to block links in the location box/other bio areas as both profiles have had that issue?

Damn, just when you thing you are becoming popular is spammers…
Why now ? do they use a new sophisticated method for registering and sending requests ? we never had such issues. Do the spammers have a lot of time on their hands due to quarantine ?
Should i expect friend requests in MSN as well ?

Right?? I agree about the “becoming popular” thing… Last time, I started receiving a couple of likes, I was like “nice” but then as the number began increasing, I was like “no way THAT many people are impressed by my insights”

Same here
Both spam accounts removed. The location and about are just text fields, so even with a link it is just text and not an actual link for any SEO benefit. If this continues to be an issue, we’ll need to auto ban accounts that put links in those fields.

i think that this will be an ongoing issue. Somehow Trakt is on the radar now so i bet more to come.
You should do this anyway, you will avoid extra word on holiday season. 
Damn… People have nothing better to do than to be a nuisance.
The spam attacks ramped up a lot today, we’re working on ways to stop it.
