Trakt & EPG Data

It would be cool if trakt could integrate with EPG services so people could create lists of what is on TV on a given day based on network. EPG data is publicly available and free

At the moment, Im parsing EPGs and manually filtering using editors, but it seems this feature could be beneficial to others if easily available on the platform.

Example EPG providers:

Example Free Schedules online:

The first link is a non-profit driven source with a XML available for a small donation, and there are other free ones I can mention as well, but their requested donation doesn’t seem too unfair to integrate into a service like Trakt.

Would be interesting if it wasn’t just for USA/canada :sob:

There are world sources - I just posted USA/Canada as an example.

I’ve made a proof of concept to showcase the functionality. Next update should incorporate Movies. As of now, only scans Episodes and adds to list.

Trakt VIP required :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Updated to include movies now and also accounts for cartoons that often use “Episode 1; Episode 2; Episode 3” in one time block (e.g. Adventure Time, Cow & Chicken, etc)

This is pretty cool! In years past I looked into schedules direct and it wasn’t available for commercial projects. That appears to still be the case.
