I mean the checkmarks as in the episodes I’ve watched. They were green, now they’re purple.

Just noticed, when clicking on “APPEARANCE” in Settings, nothing happens, it’s not scrolling down. I think it’s because the link from the button is http://trakt.tv/settings#Appearance but http://trakt.tv/settings#appearance works.
These were changed to match the action buttons. Purple for watched and green for collection like the larger and smaller action buttons use. I agree it’s different, was trying to be more consistent with the action colors.
No, we aren’t planning to do that.

Anyway, if I get it right, to have back the perfectly fine red theme now a VIP account is needed. Don’t you think that’s quite unfair to put something that previously was available to everyone behind a paywall? I never asked for a new theme and now should I pay only to not have it? 
Would you please consider to turn things around, making the red theme the default one and the new purple theme an option for VIP members? 
I think that would be way more correct and avoid many users to feel a bit scammed…

This could be an ad blocker breaking the settings page and preventing it from saving.
No, we don’t have plans to do that unfortunately. Purple is the default theme.
Thanks for your reply. Well, as I said, I find that very unfair. If purple will remain the default one, despite we never asked for it, I think the theme switcher should at least be available to everyone, not only VIP members.

I love how people nowadays just assume because there’s a forum where people can chat the company owners have to go out of their way to please everyone. Especially about something or corporate as a logo.
I mean a color switcher okay that’s cool. Maybe we’ll get an orange color for Halloween. And yellow for Easter/spring and pink for valentine. /gen. Not that I’ll still not on the new default purple theme. But if there ever become multiple themes and there’d be one that would change seasonally I’d pick that one 
But asking for the old logo. I mean whoa. That’s the whole new trakt marketing now

Just wanted to chime in a say that I’m not a fan of the purple. The contrast is really harsh on my eyes, and I’m generally sensitive to such things (dark mode gives me migraines).
Thanks for adding the red as an option for VIPs, I’ll stick to that.

I actually think it’s a good change. Just have to get used to it because they were green for years.
That would be really cool and not that hard to do, esp. with something like
--LinkColorHover: color-mix(in srgb,var(--MainColor),#000 XX%);
We choose the main color: purple, red, Halloween, etc. and everything else gets automatically adjusted.

Just wanted to chime in, that I love the makeover and the new color scheme. For people who are also in that camp… The only thing that was missing for me was a good iOS dark mode icon. So I downloaded the official logo SVG from Trakt and made one myself. It’s available here: trakt-dark hosted at ImgBB — ImgBB. I hope a real one is added in an update, but for now, this works fine and doesn’t murder my homescreen look.

I already switched to RED, because that’s (for me) the brand of Trakt. I can live with your choice of ,changing the logo", even if I still think it’s a not the best move in terms of creating a brand.
Still you did some amazing changes lately and listen to harsh community. And the result is great! Font is okay now, color can be changed, everything is in it’s right place.
Cannot wait to see more innovation on Trakt in next months
(Hopefully even an increase limit of symbols on Notes)

Like the purple. Just is a bit too much overall with the tick and the progress bar and it clashes sooooooo much with the “season finale” sticker logo.,.

So I’m mainly a trakt user on iPhone so I’ll write my 2 cents about the update mainly about the trakt App
First off all I think modernizing designs is a must if you want to keep growing however some things need to be a staple if you want to keep being recognized and not loose touch to you base users.
In that I appreciate the option to switch back to the old app icon but I think it’s a mistake to keep the app with the new icon on storefronts since there is literally almost no resemblance to your brand anymore. As many have stated it looks like a “To Do List” icon.
The color red was your staple color and very distinctive and recognizable. I don’t see why you’d just swipe that off the table but I appreciate that you can change back from purple now… HOWEVER so far that’s not possible within the app - it’s still all purple here and I’d like to be able to switch back to red in the app as well.
I love the rounded posters! But inconsistently you did not do that on the website?! However concentrating on the app: in some “categories” you decided to add a shadow at the bottom to generate a smoother crossing to the track/collect etc option bar. Unfortunately this causes many posters to be butchered by the shadow. So I’d have to guess which Captain America movie this is for example …
Now this is maybe just me but you probably spent a lot of time in thinking of a new design and make everything look sleeker but within my lists the big gray +something items in this list is still there … and yeah it’s not really important or anything but it really does look even more out of place with the new design. Why not have 5 posters and add the “+” underneath where the description is?!
Last but not least - I’ve said this before, I’ve asked for this before like many others have but it’s still not an option while Letterboxd does this for years now for VIP members: when do we get to choose the poster?
With the new design the Star Wars posters for example look ever more out of place with the borders all crooked and stuff. Please! 
Overall I like the new design. I might not understand some choices of brand recognizability but that’s your decision. If you grant VIPs more customization options for posters, colors and maybe even fonts I think this is not as bad as many say. It still needs tweaking though.

Sorry, can you please tell me exactly where in my post I ever talked about the logo or asked to have the old one back? All I asked is if it would be possible to make the red theme color the default one or to make the purple/red color switcher available to everyone, not just VIP members. That’s all! So please read well before quoting messages with that tone, thanks!

With the following changes, the damage is mostly mitigated.
- Website red theme
- iOS app alternate icon
- Website font tweaks
Just need a way to set a red theme in the iOS app and its not too bad.
