Trakt Watchlist Not Syncing Across Devices – Any Fix?

Hi everyone,

I’ve been having an issue where my Trakt watchlist is not syncing properly across devices. When I add a show or movie on my PC, it doesn’t always appear on my mobile app (and vice versa). Sometimes it syncs after a long delay, but other times it never updates at all.

Things I’ve tried so far:

  • Logging out and back in on both devices.
  • Forcing a manual sync in the app settings.
  • Clearing cache & data on the mobile app.
  • Checking Trakt API status for any service outages.

Has anyone else experienced this? Could this be a bug or an issue with third-party apps? Would love to hear any fixes or workarounds that have worked for you!

Just to be clear, are you manually marking these watched or is there an app involved?

Are you using any 3rd party or only official Trakt website and mobile apps?

I’m actually having the same problem. I used to not have this problem it was working perfectly. And now if I watch an episode on one TV it does not sync up if I go to finish watching it on the other tv. And it also does not keep up with new shows if I add one on one TV it’s not added on the other tv. I am using a third party app however it’s never had a problem before but all of a sudden there is a problem.

Most likely the third party app is mishandling Trakt api calls

I will try to write to them… But I’ve had them for over 2 years and never had a problem.. and then all of a sudden over the last 3 to 4 months it’s changed.
