I have two different streaming devices. One on my living room TV and one on my bedroom tv. I have put trakt on both using the same account. I’m finding that they don’t sync. Even though I use the same account my information is not being uploaded or downloaded or whatever to the different devices. So what I’m saving on one as a favorite TV show is not being saved on the other device as a favorite TV show. Everything is the same all the way around as far as accounts and apps go. I’ve paid for this service and it made no difference as when I’ve had the free service. So what is the reason for the discrepancy? Why am I not seeing the same information on both of these streaming devices?
I am using a streaming app. Trakt is integrated into it.
You probably need to be more specific about your setup.
You probably need to contact the developer or support team for that streaming app.
I was not sure how specific I could be. I use the Syncler app on both my fire stick and fire cube. I had the stick first and then I purchased a cube. I have one on each of my tvs. I’ve updated everything. I cleared out cashe and cookies on the app.
I was not sure what was okay to say and what wasn’t since I’m using a third party app. I use the Syncler app on both my fire stick and fire cube. I had the stick first and then I purchased a cube. I have one on each of my tvs. I’ve updated everything. I cleared out cashe and cookies on the app.
I doubt Syncler has tech support.
This isn’t a Syncler issue apparently. At least from what I’ve gathered in the past. I’ve asked both Facebook groups that I belong to you about this and they all say it’s a trakt issue. It’s been going on for a long time. I deleted the app from my devices and purchase brand new devices. I can put the trakt application on my Syncler app after resetting the app and I still get the same thing. I thought when I purchased the cube that it might be better but it’s not. I saw somewhere in reading through some of the different topics and all that there’s some kind of limit on how many shows you can like on the trakt application. Do you think that might have something to do with it I wonder?
this is def not a direct trakt issue. you’ll have to reach out more with those support groups with ur questions and trakt staff wouldn’t be able to answer it here because it’s related to the 3rd party app.
I don’t know if that’s an issue because I’ve been adding stuff and it hasn’t told me I can’t. I just know that for the last few years trakt has not synced on my devices on my bedroom TV and my living room TV and all the information is the same and the app I use is the same. My Rd syncs and my premiumize syncs
To the best of my knowledge there is no setting in the syncler app that is for using trakt only. I think what I mean by syncing up is that the list of programs I like are not the same or complete for both. So all of the programs I’ve liked in the original setup did not transfer over to the new setup when I put it together. Even though I set up the accounts exactly the same. This is something I had to double check before I started this endeavor. I recently had to get rid of one of my Fire sticks as it stopped working and that’s what made me get the cube. I didn’t have any problems with the cube. It literally put everything on there that I had on the other one. However the fire stick that I have on my bedroom TV for some reason just will not put everything that I like especially the most current things into my currently watching or whatever that list is called. It actually shows up in my home list without being made to do so. I thought maybe it could be the fire stick but then I got the cube and the cube didn’t have an issue. So I had to look at getting another fire stick just to see and I did and I still had the problem. So across three devices I have the problem. It’s really vexing.
