Unable to log into android app

I’m unable to log into the Android app. I’m able to log in okay to the website but when it takes me back to the app it gives me an unknown log in error. Also had issues prior where episodes weren’t updating when marked as watched.

Any ideas?

There is an issue with the database right now. The team is investigating.

Having this issue also… noticed whenever I checked into a show nothing happened but then wouldn’t allow me to check in again… eventually it showed the show as finished watching. But no status of check in showed on mobile website or app. Tried to clear the cache but issue remained. Then cleared data and tried to log in and was unable.

Uninstalled the app and reinstalled and issue remains that I can’t log in due to a unknown error.

Things are slowly coming back to normal, so you should be able to login in a few minutes.

Is the issue resolved, or is it still ongoing?

I noticed that the watched status of some TV shows is not loading correctly on the Android app, although it loads correctly on the web.

Could you please confirm if this issue is related to the database downtime?

This is not the same issue. Yours seems to be related to cache.
I would recommend signing out of the app, then sign back in which should make your data re-cache.

@Sonply I have tried clearing cache / app data and even uninstalling and reinstalling the entire app but still for some of the shows it doesn’t show any watched status, where it shows the status properly in web or other clients.

Strange thing is, I see it in history tab but if I open the tv show it doesn’t have any watched status updated.

I passed this to the developers so they will check if something is going on.

Justin pushed a fix for this, which appeared to be cache related. You might need to restart the app or possible re-sign in to force it to pull down new data.

I logged out of my account, cleared all my data, and logged back in. The sync is working fine now, and shows I have watched are marked as expected.
