Does anyone else get issues with the CSV Exports in that some unusual characters appear making words illegible.
A few examples:
You Can’t Put a Price on A Life
You Can’t Put a Price on A Life
You’re Not George Clooney
You’re Not George Clooney
It appears that I get ’ instead of an ’
Or is this something wrong with my exports or perhaps the text I’m using (Arial) when opening in Excel.
Any thoughts would be useful please.

It’s an issue with the text on TVDB or TMDB. Apostrophes, em dashes, and ellipses cause it.
Not sure what the technical reason is, but whenever I see it happening I go to the source and just replace it. As in I hit backspace to get rid of it and press the key on my keyboard. An apostrophe, a regular dash, or three periods.

OK, thank you for taking the time to explain that. I shall give it a try.

This is a text encoding issue. The CSV is encoded in UTF-8 but Excel opened it in another encoding, resulting in the garbled characters.
Not sure how to tell Excel exactly what encoding to use but see e.g. here:

@sttz Thanks very much. Just tried your solution and it works great, all reading as it should.
Cheers.
