The tool tip showing the number of episodes that a particular actor or actresses has appeared in shows the total number of episodes - not the number of episodes for watched for the year.
Eg - David Costabile for Billions has 55 episodes for my 2020. I have only watched 12 episodes in 2020, so shouldn’t the tooltip show 12 episodes for me?
