It would be great to have the option to add private tags, similar to how Letterboxd does it. This would make organizing lists and creating private categories much easier, and it would be even better if different tags could be added when rewatching something. This feature could bring a lot of flexibility to the platform.
Tags as in notes for each watch? Or more like categories, which would add a 2nd dimension to lists?
You could have tags that work like notes, meaning the tags themselves could simply live inside the notes section and be collected in a dedicated area of the profile. For example, I track all the films I watch in the cinema, and on Letterboxd I can just add the tag “cinema.” On Trakt, instead, I have to create an entire list. And if I wanted to add other tags like “3D” or “IMAX,” I’d need to make additional lists, whereas on Letterboxd they’re just simple tags. These tags could also be used to create sub‑categories within lists.
