Add option to disable "Weekly Digest" notifications

I have enabled push notifications for Trakt so that the iOS app can send me a push notification whenever a TV show or movie is released (those are the only two push notification settings that I have enabled / am interested in).

Unfortunately, every Friday Trakt also sends an unsolicited “Weekly Digest” notification, which I consider to be spam (at best; it could also be seen as a dark pattern to hack growth).

Please add an option to disable these annoying “Weekly Digest” notifications.

There’s an unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email & there’s a checkbox near the bottom of the Notifications page

@justin apparently the Unsubscribe link unsubscribes you from Marketing emails (last checkbox), not the Weekly digest itself

Thanks!

I only looked in the App; not in the website…

I disabled the Weekly Digest there; let’s see whether I don’t get another notification about it next Friday.

BTW If that’s really the solution, I apologize for the strong words!

Guess they show how much these notifications annoyed me, so it would still be nice (and logical?) if one could disable the Weekly Digest in the app itself.

So today I got another unwanted notification (“Trending Now”) and can’t find a way to disable this (neither in the iOS app nor on the website).

Where/How should I do this?

The digest can be turned on or off for email and mobile push notifications in the website settings.

Yes, that was already mentioned above.

But what about this “Trending Now” notification?

Is this what you’re looking for?

No, but maybe I wasn’t clear enough.

My question is about unwanted mobile push notifications; not email.

There should be an option to toggle the mobile app notification on the same page. There is a column for email, and a column for the app notification.

Thank you!
