Disney+ is now available

It works very similar to Hulu and unfortunately doesn’t have accurate watched dates. It’s really odd neither service decided to not save a precise watched date. On initial import, we use the release date and moving forward it uses the date the data was pulled over, so it will be closer but not exactly when you watched it.

I’ve also been encountering issues with Netflix. Been watching Breaking Bad and it was last synced just now, but no data was pulled over at all…

I’ve signed into Disney+. I’ll keep an eye on whether that syncs

Disney+ has pulled data over.
Netflix still hasn’t brought the film I watched over. I need to watch something else on there to see of it triggers another sync.

when logging into profile disney+ just goes to account page. Then not logging me in properly. Is it because I don’t pay directly through disney but another provider?

I did a full initial sync and the ones added had today’s watch date and not the release date as per your statement

That’s unfortunately what’s happening for me for different VIP features (automatic backup, RSS feeds; the first used to work, but the second never worked for me). Since I don’t trust entering my account credentials at a third-party site (Younify) I won’t use/test the VIP feature of this thread (so apologies for being slightly off-topic).

The Netfix scrobbler seems to have stopped working for me. Last data is from 3 days ago while I did watch stuff in the meantime.

Disney Plus is pulling data saying I watched the episodes and/or movie today as opposed to when I actually watched them. :woman_shrugging:

@irishguy2012 Please post a screen recording and also attach the logs (click the … in the top in the Trakt app). You can send this to @support directly if you prefer.

I believe this bug is fixed. You can undo the sync from https://trakt.tv/settings/scrobblers then queue a new sync, choosing “All Data”. That should pull in the non duplicates, using the release date. Disney+ has no watched date, so that is the best we can do.

Thanks Justin the new sync added the correct release dates this time!

Like Hulu before it, it’s problematic at best.
It’s helpful to read through the thread before whining about this feature.
[For the reader, I’m the one doing the whining.]
After the initial sync, I read the thread and learned to delete the “I watched two days’ worth of streaming in less than 24 hours” sync.
After the re-sync, as Justin stated in his initial post (about Disney+), the views were added as of the release date of the original content. That leaves some hilarious history such as me viewing Pinocchio 13 years before I was born.

Like other viewers, syncs from Netflix are also hit-and-miss.
I watched tick, tick… BOOM! New Year’s morning and the viewing never synced. I ended up manually adding it.

Since the Younify feed is being matched against what it finds on trakt, I’ve decided to continue to manually record my viewings as before this Younify feature was added. I realize this may create some duplication, but I tend to review my history on a fairly regular basis and I can delete mismatched views on the occasions where they occur.

I suspect Disney is not recording actual watch dates on its services to avoid the complaint that a viewer’s privacy is being invaded. Such is life in the 21st Century.

Justin, I appreciate the attempt at trying to improve the service to make it simpler for your subscribers. Hopefully, it doesn’t end up being more trouble than its worth.

Best of luck as you try to expand this feature before it’s literally “ready for prime time.”

Ciao for now!
Mike

I’m not sure Trakt likes it when an episode is paused.
I watched all of Night Agent season 2 yesterday, but only the last 3 episodes have scrobbled. I think paused the first 7 episodes at some point

Hello,

iam not able to bind my Amazon Prime Account.(Netflix works)

When i have to select the Profile it jumps right back to the trakt app.

Maybe its because i only have 1 Profile.

However its then not listed under linked Accounts.

Tried with disabled Two Factor Authentication did not help.

When i then click the Prime Symbol under Streaming Scrobbler in the App i says manage/unlink but only until i leave that Menu and open again. And so on but on the Right Side it still Shows the Sign in text. Its also not listed in the connectec Streaming Services Field on the Trakt Website like Netflix.

Any Help?

I too am having some issues with the new scrobbling feature. Because I’m so psyched for it, I check my history daily to see if my previous days views are in there. For the most part they are but they keep missing one or two episodes here and there and I cannot fathom why.

For instance I’m finally binging Better Call Saul. Yesterday I sat here and watched almost all of season three one after another on Netflix. Check my Trakt history this morning and the scrobbler did not record s3e4 for some reason. The previous day it had missed an episode from S2.

It MOSTLY works but I can’t depend on it to be accurate because of this.

Happy to provide more information if needed, but if this is a known issue, I’d like to know what to epxect.

I play my shows/movies at a faster than normal speed in order to have enough time to watch all that I want as well as training my ears for my job.

Not everything I watch likes to sync after the first or second syncing, but they may show up on a later syncing… Just try and give it a bit of time. :crossed_fingers: (Or you can just make the needed corrections yourself.)

I still have episodes or movies I watched a while ago and did not capture show up every so often on an ‘All Data’ sync.

The only thing I can see as a possible future issue when everything is running smoothly is the show’s specials syncing. But then again, I am someone who likes watching specials and will hunt them down, if possible, if I notice that they are the only thing remaining for the show.

I now am thinking about setting up another account for the kids in order keep track of exactly what they are watching by syncing the data.

Which service? Because I’m actually finding with some services, especially Amazon Prime, that episodes I’ve paused very early on in playback are being reported as fully “watched”.

I honestly don’t feel this is Trakt’s problem but rather highlighting an inefficiency in the streaming services themselves. Unfortunately it shows up here. Something we’d never have known was this not made available to us.

This is on Netflix
