I often forgot (and by often, I mean always ;)) to rate a season of a show I finished watching or an entire show. It would be nice to have, as an option maybe, the ability to rate an entire season based on my ratings of individual episodes. And maybe entire series based on average ratings from seasons?

In some ways, it would make more sense for season ratings to be based on an automatic averaging of ratings from the season’s episodes rather than having users manually select a score.
Yeah, I’m with you. So far I always have to get out the old calculator to see the average.
How would you calculate that though? I for myself am using a „system“ where for example a rating of 7.49 is a 7 but 7.5+ is an 8.
Cool idea, would definitely use. 
Would want an option to manually rate like mentioned. For example there could be bad filler episodes but the overall season was great with an great overarching story.
Just like you do already, by rounding to the nearest whole number.
I finally got motivated to come suggest exactly this in the VIP forums, and it turns out someone already wrote out the idea for me! I know my series ratings would be better informed if I could see the raw averages of all episode ratings.
This has been a wishlist item for me since… well, since I started actually making an effort to rate everything I watch, about 5 years ago.
Having a warning if any episodes lack ratings would be a nice bonus.
Hmm I don’t know about this. I usually don’t rate every episode; I only leave a rating if I find an episode particularly good/bad or if I feel strongly that its current rating is incorrect. So if the whole season was an 8/10 but the final episode sucked, my generated season rating would be like a 4 since that would be the only episode I rated.
I guess they could only rate the season if all episodes have been rated.
I fully support this feature. I usually rate a season or a show based on the last episodes as I have more memory of them and forget the first ones.
In my opinion this would improve the rating system. But it shouldn’t be force on anyone, as not all users rate every episode. A nice opt-in feature.
Would it also be possible to show the season rating in the year in review rather than the overall show rating? And I like the idea of reporting on the most outstanding episodes watched.
The whole show and seasons should be rated with the average episodes rating until manually rated from the first episode on.

I am also for the idea of ,calculate" rating for the whole season or entire TV Show based on individual ratings on episodes or seasons. I do it constantly manually, after rating each episode I must go to calculator and get a average for season. It would be awesome to have this automatically.
