If I want to log a show I watched previously but not the whole season I will have to mark each episode as seen until the episode I’ve seen.
For example I watched Tokyo Revengers only first 20 episodes of 40, so I will have to mark each 20 episodes individually. There is only Mark as watched whole season or none.
The iOS app (maybe Android as well?) has something like this.
When you Track the last episode you watched, it will ask you if you want to add the Plays for the previous episodes
I still wish this is also is an option on the website. It’s still take some extra steps to mark multiple episodes as watched. Especially with shows with more than 50 episodes in a season.
You have to mark multiple episodes as watched.
The app now has a function when you mark an episode as watched that it asks if you want to mark the previous episodes as watched too like the iOS app also has now:
No, because I haven’t seen the whole season. It would be nice that if you mark episode 5x23 as watched in a season that has 46 episodes that you can mark the previous 22 episodes also as watched as the same time. Just like the new feature as the IOS app
As long as this is an option to do as sometimes on the platform I watch things on some episodes are not listed straight away so watch things out of order.
So I might watch episodes 1 ,2, 3, 5, 7, 9
This would leave me with 4, 6, 8 that need watching as and when available to me and I would not want these marked as watched just because I had already watched ep 9.
I don’t think that adding this option would change the existing behavior.
It would just be added as another option when long pressing an episode. If there are unwatched episodes in the past, it gives another button to mark all previous episodes as watched.
I think this would be a huge upgrade. I have some shows I watch that are literally only 5 minute episodes. If I don’t mark them daily, I might end up having to mark 40+ episodes one by one just for that one show.
@nigeljordanw1 At least you have that option as an Apple owner. I just had to mark 127 episodes one by one since marking previous as watched is not an option on the Android app, or desktop site.
This really feels like it should be a core feature across all platforms. :\
I think we really need it, example latest episode is 100 episode already. And just watched 2 episode 3 month ago, and today watched till episode 80. So just mark at episode 80 and site should ask mark for previous episode as watched as well.
I have just signed up and have a lot of TV shows where I have watched most of the series but not all of them. Is there an easy way to mark all episodes as watched to a certain point leaving the rest in the queue to watch?
This is one feature that Trakt is missing. I know other apps will “back-fill” like if you click an episode like: Season 5 Episode 10 and most apps will ask if you want to mark all previous episodes as watched…Trakt doesn’t do that yet. They have it on their list of enhancements though.
The quickest way right now is to mark each season up to the season you are at. Does that make sense? So for instance, if you have watched all of the show You and just started season 5 (the latest) you can go to each season
and click the big purple button at the top of this button list to bulk mark each season. “Add To History”
I know that’s still time consuming, but might cut about half the time off of having to mark every single episode watched. That is, unless you are crazy like me, and love marking each one…LOL.
In the iOS app, when you track the latest episode you watched it will ask you what you want to do with the previous ones.
The same feature does not yet exists on web or Android.
That’s good to know…I was not aware that they finally implemented this in the iOS app. I knew they had put it on their feature list for all platforms but I hadn’t seen it released on any of them yet.
