Cleaning up/Adding to watch history and lists - problems and requests

I’m adding the streaming apps to my Trakt and cleaning up a load of older shows (and movies but these requests apply mostly to shows) and there are some features that I have questions about:

SYNCING ISSUES
When syncing Netflix/Amazon/Disney the watched episodes (and movies) don’t entirely show up when it asks to ‘add watch history’. I’ve tried to resync and logged out and back in and it only adds multiple iterations of the same shows watched. Plex works perfectly for this feature btw.

With this issue in mind, is there some sort of limit to how far back Netflix keeps the watch history that Trakt can access? I can see the entirety of my history on the Netflix website but it won’t pull all the shows and watched dates from any of those apps (or does so only selectively)

FEATURE ENQUIRY
When adding older TV shows that I’ve watched there are a few ways to add the episodes; to click on the show :ballot_box_with_check: and add the whole show, :ballot_box_with_check: by season or :ballot_box_with_check: by episode. When I click any of these it auto adds to ‘watched now’ or gives an option for ‘other date’ and there is a toggle switch to select ‘release date’.

So, when adding an episode from a show that I was watching/tracking episode by episode it allows to click the last :ballot_box_with_check: and the option comes up ‘add prior unwatched episodes’ and this is the option I usually use because… when adding the whole season by :ballot_box_with_check: it adds the whole season including the few episodes of that season I’ve already watched, leading to doubles and errors.

Also, when I add the shows using the ‘last episode/add prior unwatched’ method it adds all the episodes as if they are watched THAT DAY which throws off all my history and stats and all that; not a massive problem but still.

CREATING LISTS
Is there a way to add all the movies (and shows) I have in my Plex collection to my Trakt collection automatically? Also, is there a function to add a movie or show to my Trakt list when I add it to my watchlist on Plex? Like a macro that adds the movies to a watchlist on Plex and then adds to a pre-made list for ‘collected movies’ in Trakt?

When I add a movie to my Plex library, I want to be able to add it to Trakt, it’s not already there, in my general watchlist, and add it to my collection. If I already have the movie on my watchlist I want to be able to ‘add to collection’ when it shows up as available in the Plex library.

Is there a function to add to a list in Trakt by adding to ‘My List’ in Netflix/Disney/Amazon? Does it work that way or is it even possible?

TL;DR Yeah so that’s long;

  1. What’s the deal with syncing Netflix/Disney/Amazon watch history?
  2. How can you :ballot_box_with_check: an episode the way you want without making duplicates?
  3. How to automatically add to a list/collection from outside apps with macros?
  1. I’m not 100% sure what you’re referring to, maybe the Automatic Tracking/Streaming Scrobbler? Might be worth contacting support with any specific issues. I’m unsure it’s currently possible to sync any of your streaming service lists into your watch lists or others, but might be possible in the future?
  2. Is there a specific use case you’re referring to? It sounds like the prior episodes flow is what you’re after. If you want to set the episode release date for those prior episodes, bring up the specific options (eg. long press) on the episode in the seasons list and choose release date and select add, it should then offer that same previous episodes option. See attached below - I’m unsure if I’m missing what you’re after though.
  3. I’m not familiar with Plex so unsure how it interacts with Trakt - sounds like something that the Trakt API could be used to do, but I doubt Trakt can do anything without some integration on Plex’s side. My guess is this isn’t possible, but someone familiar with Plex might have to answer that.
