Combine Continue and Start Watching

Short description of the issue

  • Is there a way to combine the Continue and Start watching playlists? If I prefer to watch shows in release order and one show starts after the first, especially if those shows overlap (such as Star Trek TNG / DS9 / Voyager), there doesn’t appear to be a date-conscious way to sort these two lists.

For what purpose exactly would the two lists have to be combined? Which use case would benefit from that exactly?

My use case would be to integrate shows I haven’t started with shows I’m already watching based on comprehensive release dates. Like reading multiple comic series chronologically in order to participate in a multi-part storyline.

Maybe a custom list would be best for that use case?

It could be, but then I have a custom list that duplicates everything that my current dashboard does, and I have to manually remove episodes when they’re watched.

Oh so you’d want that integration on an episode-level?

That is my current use case when comparing how I typically use Trakt with the existing (depreciating) dashboard. If I lose out on that functionality or there’s no way to reproduce it once I no longer have access to Trakt Web: Home, I’d like to know so I can consider my renewal status.

How do you realize that use case in the old v2?

Trakt Web: Home combines both currently watching and things you haven’t started yet, so I can sort them both by date simultaneously.
