Hi, I often watch movies and shows together with friends and it’s scrobbled on friend’s trakt account. I can see it on their history so it would be great if I can easily add it to my own history by a single click (or 2 clicks if its as a button on the “When did you watch this?” popup).
Current workaround is to first select and copy the time from friend’s history, click “add to watched history”, click “other date” and then overwrite/paste the time. But it’s almost impossible to select and copy the time (since it’s a link) so it’s actually easier to just memorize it.
Why not create the opportunity to mark a friend as a #tag at check-in so that they can check in or appear in history? So one person could check in, and all the people marked would automatically take over the film as well. Of course, you should introduce a few privacy settings to refuse check-ins if necessary or to be able to take over without being asked.
Sounds interesting, but how exactly should this “check-in” work ? Isn’t that something that needs to be handled by the trakt client used to watch ? It seems like quite different and much more complex feature. I assume you could still forget to “check-in” together… The case I want to solve with my rather simple suggestion is when you already watched something together but it’s scrobbled only in friend’s history.
