Option to hide watch history from profile

I really love TV and movies and i amassed a great collection of them that i would like to share with more people by linking to my profile.

I am a little embarrassed about my watched history though as i spend a lot of hours every day just watching stuff… it would be great to be able to hide the history section from my public profile so that i can share my profile without being embarrassed.

No judgement here, I assume most Trakt users watch quite a bit of content and that’s why we needed to track it all.

I do like the idea of more privacy options though. :+1:

I am more concerned about sharing my watch history with people outside of trakt e.g. relatives, friends, colleagues.

Not everyone is as tv hungry as trakt users haha

Yeah, I hear you - It’s pretty verbose in that it even states the times the media was watched. An option to show/hide would be good IMHO and I voted accordingly. :+1:

I voted for this because I can see an eventual goal state: Separate privacy settings for “public” (i.e. users not logged in/search engines/etc.), other Trakt users, followers, and friends/following. Not entirely sure about the utility of differentiating between other users and followers, but the exact levels can be tweaked.

Such fine-grained control could be useful for e.g. showing how much one has watched (or collected) to the public internet; showing what one has watched/collected (but not when) to other Trakt users, and showing full info to Trakt users one has followed/friended (again, not sure if differentiating between unidirectional and bidirectional follows is useful).

Hi did any of the devs see this post wondering if there’s any hope this feature is added to Trakt.

Bump
