The air date order on TMDB and Trakt for Deep Space Nine Season 4 notes the episode Starship Down first, and then Little Green Men.
But IMDB, Paramount+, and Wikipedia have the order as Little Green Men first, and then Starship Down.
I’m assuming the latter version is the correct order, but it doesn’t let me alter this so I am posting it here if someone is able to double check this, and correct it if needed.
Yes, I went to TMDB and found that the air date field is locked and I couldn’t change it. I thought there might be someone here that might have the authority to make the change there, or know a better and easier way to fix it.
Hi,
TMDB will always use the aired order on TV. That, sometimes doesn’t match the production or the intended order. If the dates are locked there it indicates a moderator believed that this is the order the episodes aired(and didn’t want anyone to change).
I’m not able to change a locked date there without some official proof that this originally aired in the order those other services list it. So, if the order and dates are indeed incorrect, this needs to be reported there with an official source from when those episodes aired.
Thanks. I’ve found a source, so I’ll have to see if they accept it. Haven’t had to ever lodge a ticket/make a post on TMDB either so I’ll have to look into how to do that.
It’s locked bc they believe it’s right. DS9 is an old show so I’m sure the debate has been discussed for decades. Good luck but don’t think they will accept it.
Hi,
Thanks for reporting it there. I’ve switched the 2 episodes here too, so the comments and the user data should be in the correct positions according to TMDB.
However, before I did that, the episodes had already partially refreshed, so we currently have 2 episodes with the same data(visually). This should update later today with a refresh, once we get the all updates done at TMDB.
The mods on TMDB are total dicks though, so there definitely needs to be a way to correct Trakt when TMDB mods gleefully have wrong information on their site.
eg the Nevers apparently has 6 special episodes on TMDB which werent part of S01 but these epiosdes were actually released as the 2nd part of season 1 after it was cancalled, on Tubi, but apparently that doesnt count “as being broadcast” so they dont recognize them as s01e07-12 as they were actually produced as episodes, making them definitely not specials.
