This just doesn’t feel nice?

Some comments I can understand being disagreed, everyone has different experiences with but some are completely odd and I’m just saying how much I like a character. Either way it feels so odd and targeted to get an email saying hey, this person didn’t like that.

Can we rethink this feedback mechanism please? Either do away with the emoji or don’t email people when it’s a negative response? I don’t think I’m being overly sensitive here it’s just a bit unnecessary.

The comment system was fine when we didn’t have thumbs-down as an option. The choices were to scroll by if you don’t agree, and report to mods if it breaks a rule. Comments people did like naturally moved up anyway thanks to thumbs-up “likes”.

Honestly, we should have gotten some set of emoji reactions (without the thumbs) as a separate system from the previously existing “like” vote.
