@sean, please use the Discourses calendar feature so that time would be displayed in users timezones. This was already asked countless times. Most have no idea what 11AM PST is

The time thing is indeed annoying. Additionally each announcement imho should have a link to a discussion thread in the appropriate subfora.

Yes please. Or link to a converter that displays it in every time imaginable or something like by creating an event for the downtime on this site:
I thought it had already completed but it just started 30 mins ago.
At least I have yamtrack to add it to now but still.
