The sole method available to conceal television programs and films that I will never watch is to assign them a rating of “Weak As Saucer.” It is conceivable that these shows could be significantly better than that, but this is the only means by which I can prevent them from being viewed by mysely who will undoubtedly never watch them. Therefore, if this is the preferred approach to handling this situation, then it must be implemented, and unfortunately, the ratings will be lower for those movies and shows that people might actually desire to watch for some reason. If there is another way, please let me know or please implement a Not Interested button and let me worry about whether I forgot that I hid it or not. You could just fade them out instead of literally hiding them that way we can still see it, but not see it.
“Drop” should not have replaced “Hide”. They are different things.

How is this a solution? You can’t drop anything unless you first add it to your watch list. I would like a button to just hide them as I’m scrolling through looking for something to watch. Maybe all that are hidden can automatically be added to a list that you could look over if you feel the need and see what you blocked. So more like a block list.
are you trying to hide shows that appear under your recommendations? or are you just trying to hide shows you don’t want visible on the site at all? Like you know you’ll never watch “Stranger Things” so you don’t even want to see it on the site?
It’s not my site, so I don’t know if making them disappear would be a possibility, but we already know having them fade out is an option, just not for anything you choose except for those that we already watched or rated etc.
Why would hiding unrated or unwatched shows/movies be a thing? You would never find anything that way.
Yes. Same with trending, anticipated, popular and so on. Anything that this site has listed. Just put a 
symbol as a button to fade it out as your looking.
well at least for the recommendations section there is a hide icon under each show or movie so you can hide it from that section

Yes. Thanks for bringing that to my attention, I never scroll down that far to see recommendations. But I see no reason that the same hide button couldn’t be used for all shows and movies same as recommendations.
so you’re contradicting yourself here. do you want to be able to hide shows/movies or not? You can’t hide something from appearing like you already mentioned but you make it sound like you still want to hide it from appearing. you can turn off the recommendations altogether in your settings
I wasn’t even talking about recommendations until you mentioned them, but I will hide something recommended if I have no interest. Thanks for pointing that out. I would still like to be able to hide anything, if made possible from any category.
