Hi there,
We all know and like the watch list.
I run a «don’t want to watch list» to enable hiding films and shows that I — well, the title says it all.
But this workaround doesn’t do the trick completely as intended:
- I can’t hide a specific list only.
- Having stuff listed gives the algorithms a sign of favour, which is quite the opposite of what I intend for those shows and films.
I tried, before, to simply rate such items with low ratings. However, since I haven’t seen them (and don’t intend to), this isn’t fair to the artists and isn’t the actual information I want to store.
This is by no means meant as a feature to be used for hating or shaming the artist’s great work.
But not everything is for everyone.
Some ideas on how to get that feature that pop into my mind from a user’s perspective:
- Unfavourite button: Probably not feasible because there’s no place for this additional button in the UI.
- NOT-watch-list: Add a special default list, just like the one I manually added, that can be excluded with filters and additions don’t count as positive favours.
These are just my two ideas; most likely the developers of Trakt have much better ideas on how to do this.
Finally, it’s only about this for me: I simply don’t want items I know I don’t want to see to appear as noise in listings.
Thank you!
