Hitting Rate Limit after 100 items when using plextraktsync despite being VIP member

Started reaching the Rate Limit after 100 items when using plextraktsync forcing an hour wait to restart sync.

Confirm that I’m a VIP member (NUMPTYNORRIS) and it’s only started today I think. I’ve re-authenticated the api app for the script to run etc.

Is it possible this is linked in error to the limits on free accounts?

mine mostly seem to be hitting it when doing a search_by_id as noted by:

Rate Limit Exceeded for plextraktsync.trakt.TraktApi.search_by_id(),   
         retrying after 1065 seconds (try: 1/5)

I’ve also noticed that normal search on the site has been broken throughout the day as well with a ERROR 429: Whoa there, Lightning McQueen! Please try again in a few seconds.

Just started having the same issue too. It worked fine when I ran it on 3/22, they must have changed something else in the API.

Searching still seems to be completely broken on both the website and by API..

@support is there something going on with the API/website search that completely broke within the past day??

It appears things are back to normal, plextraktsync has finally synced for me after 36 hours

Welp guess I’ll enable PlexTraktSync again and see how things play out for the next couple hours.

Edit: 5 Hours later and it looks like everything is still working fine, haven’t seen any rate limit messages come up yet at least. So I do believe whatever was causing this issue (either on trakt side or plextraktsync side) has been fixed.
