To create an account at Trakt, you have 3 options. You can connect your Google account, your Apple account or create an account using your email.
To do that, first, you need to access our website and click on “Join Trakt for Free”:
Then, just click on the button “Join now” and choose one of the 3 options to create your account.
Then, you will need to fill in some basic information. Your Stage Name, your Birthday, your Gender and your Location:
Then, based on your location, you can choose what streaming services you have a subscription to. Those will be added to your favorites, and you can filter content based on them later.
If you had an account on another service before, you will be able to import your data in the next screen. We support imports from TMDB, TV Time, Plex, IMDB and Letterboxd:
You can also import your data later in your settings.
If you don’t have any data to import, just choose the option “Let’s go”.
Then it’s done, your account has been created!
How do I edit my personal information after the account creation?
You can manage any options in your settings. To access it, you just need to tap on your profile picture and then on the “gear” icon:
There, you can change your Profile Image, Username, Email, Birthday and Location. You can also choose if your account is public or private, if you want to see spoilers or not, and if you want to track episodes and movies multiple times or only once.
