Things should be working normally now. So please try revoking the access on those items and see if that fixes your issue.
I think it’s good, now!! It’s only showing the apps I have linked, and I got rid of anything in each collection that should not have been there, one at a time, making sure I killed all apps, before I even opened another. So far, it looks like success!!! Thank you!!!
Although, I am seeing a few doubles, and even triples in the list, on CHD.Any idea what that’s about? I cleared the cache, but it comes back.
Not sure, is that still happening? Can you send some images?
I can’t possibly go through my entire collection and remove these, when there isn’t even a search for the collection list on the website. One example, “A Starry Night - Van Gogh” has been giving me errors about it not even existing, every time I log into Trakt in SeriesGuide. Otherwise, it works fine.
I’m just getting tired of deleting all of these, only to find them there again. I literally went through and made sure I was working with one app at a time, while the others were logged out of Trakt. Then, I meticulously went through each app, deleted them, made sure I could log back in, and not see any of the movies/shows in question. I understand that one app can corrupt my list in other apps. But there should be no way any app can add things I’ve never even added. That’s exactly like someone else is using my list, at the same time. ![]()
It might have been Flixoid that kept re-adding these unknown movies, so I uninstalled it. (At least for now.) But it couldn’t load those movies, if they weren’t in my collection. Right? The one showing all the checked movies (which aren’t mine) is NovaTV. Just before I deleted them all again.
Well, nevermind. I can’t post more than one pic, and then it’s not going to allow me to post anything again, for a while. But I’m sure you can imagine it?
And CHD was showing three Pawn Stars, and two Bad Monkeys. Now, I only see one double, for now anyway. I do believe that problem only seems to happen in CHD. I don’t recall seeing multiples anywhere else. Is there no way to search the website for specific movies and make sure they’re deleted?
Yeah, the last 17 movies appear, that I never would have added. I’m hoping that getting rid of Flixoid solves that, but I still wish there was some way I could actually remove these permanently, from anything in my Trakt collection. They have to be coming from Trakt, somehow.
Please send a Trakt link to your history, filtered by date or item so I can check the specific history item. In general, I see all of your history is added by apps, so that means one of them is sending the data over.
You know, I think it was Flixioid. I seem to have it under control now, but I still wish there was some way I could search the website list and just delete the ones that were and probably still are there. I mean, even when I choose remove from collection, the movies are still listed. It just says it’s removed from my collection. Is there a better way to completely remove them?
It could have been FlixVision, too. (or both?) I left it there, because I do get a lot of links, but I logged out of Trakt on that one, because it doesn’t fully support Trakt yet, anyway. It has the potential to be a good app, but it ain’t ready, yet. No matter which app, it still got something from Trakt, that it shouldn’t have. Weird. ![]()
Trakt just sends the data we have. If an app sends data, another app will pull it down. I can look up the specific app if you give an exact URL on the website to look at.
I’m not sure what you mean. This one, for example. I sure didn’t add it, but all of those in that screencap above are also still there, and still indicate they are in my collection, even if I choose to remove them from my collection.
I mean, take your pick. I’ve tried to remove all of these, but there they still are.
They were added to collection by the SeriesGuide app.
The movies in question have never even shown up in SeriesGuide, under any category. I don’t think I was even using SeriesGuide, back when I added that Van Gogh vid, years ago. And that’s the only one that seems to give an error in that app, because it doesn’t appear to even exist, anymore. If I search for it, it’s definitely not there.
This doesn’t bother me so much, because it only comes up when I log into Trakt, and does nothing after that. But I cannot find a way to remove it.
I was looking at Ghost specifically, which was added to your collection by SeriesGuide.
That started showing up in Flixoid (now uninstalled), first, I think. All I know is, I never added that movie, to anything. It’s not even a movie I would be interested in rewatching. So, where did it come from? Most of the movies in that image are movies I know I never added, in any app. Actually, I don’t even use SeriesGuide for movies. Only TV shows.
All I can do is look at the data, and it’s being sent from SerieGuide. It’s entirely possible another app sent the data first, then it synced back down to SeriesGuide. But now SeriesGuide is syncing the data after you remove it.
I’d recommend uncollecting from within SeriesGuide first, then uncollect on the Trakt website if it’s still there.
Ok, I think I got it this time! Man, this can be like chasing your own tail, until you figure out which app is doing what, isolate, and check each one, individually. I did find them in the movie collection, in SG, and removed them all. Now, I don’t see them in my collection. So, maybe I finally got this under control?!
Thanks, man!! I appreciate your help!!
YAY!!! I even found “A Shot in a Starry Night,” on the site, and removed that instance, too. No more errors!!! WOOOHOOO!!! Thanks again!!!
This is still happening, and I believe I have narrowed it down to FilmPlus. So, I logged out of trakt on that app, and removed them all. First in the app, and then on the Trakt website. But when it does this, it’s always the same movies!! Where are they coming from?!! This is so frustrating!! As soon as I log into Trakt on that app, those same movies will populate again. GRRRRRR!!!
How can that even happen, when I have never added those movies to my collection, on any apps?! It has to be coming from someone else’s Trakt account!! How is this happening?!!
My password is secure. I have no problem with any other apps, right now. It seems that Flixoid was doing it, before, so I got rid of it. There was an update recently for FilmPlus, but I don’t use it that often, so I don’t know when it started doing that. But if it only happens when I log into Trakt, how could they be coming from anywhere but Trakt? It doesn’t happen when I’m not logged into Trakt on that app. So, it’s obviously something that only happens when I’m logged into Trakt. So, how can it be coming from anywhere else? Every other app is fine. But as soon as that one populates, it’s full of the same old movies, mixed in with mine. And then they all show up on Trakt again.
This time, since I knew what was going on, as soon as I saw that, I logged out of every other app that uses Trakt. So, it is definitely coming from your server. I can duplicate it once more, if you want to see a screenshot? It’s really frustrating, having to remove all instances from both the site and the app, though. I mean, somehow, these movies got stuck in my queue, so it seems. And I don’t know how they keep repopulating, when I removed them all. The app itself doesn’t do anything, until I log into the Trakt server. So, it has to be coming from Trakt. Where else could it possibly come from? It is definitely coming from Trakt, because it doesn’t happen until I log into Trakt on that app. It makes no sense, since there is no other service it could be using.
I mean, if I’m only logged into my account, on that one single app, and as soon as I log into Trakt, they all appear again, it has to be on your server, somewhere. There is literally nowhere else it could come from.
Please provide some specific examples from your watched history and I will check which app is sending the plays. Trakt doesn’t auto add any data, it requires you to enter the data manually or is synced up from an app using the Trakt API.
I have this completely isolated, right now. There is no doubt that these movies are coming from Trakt. Do you want me to show you? I’ll log back in, on FilmPlus only, and go through the hassle again, just to get you a screenshot of the Trakt movie list, if you think you can figure out whose collection these are coming from, and how they end up in mine?!
Ok, here goes. I’m going to log in on FilmPlus, and it’s going to add these movies again.
Sounds like FilmPlus is sending the data. Trakt itself can’t add data to your account without the app telling it to.
