Is it possible to automatically hide adult titles from the public view of my feed and my collection? What about manually hiding titles? ie, titles that don’t fit the criteria for “adult” but that I wouldn’t want an prying, easily-shocked mother to see?
I don’t think there’s a way to do that, without converting your account to private.
Don’t think so. True adult movies aren’t allowed on Trakt anyway.
Yeah, true adult movies should be reported so we can remove them. We don’t have a feature to hide certain movies/shows. I do agree that is a cool feature request though.
“Adult” was probably the wrong word. I’m thinking mainly of old exploitation titles that can dip into erotic or erotic horror territory, but are not pornographic. A couple titles that come to mind: Slave Girls From Beyond Infinity, Fascination. This period in cinema is fascinating to me, when we weren’t so paranoid content-wise. Not everyone understands that though, and I’m trying to be cautiously selective about what information I share.
For instance, there are some strictly vanilla films I don’t necessarily want everyone to see on my feed. If I’m watching Eyes Wide Shut, Fifty Shades of Gray, or Jury Duty, I don’t want everyone with access to my feed to know about it. False conclusions could be made without context. But I do want to track them for myself.
edited for typos
I added a feature request for this here.
