The (extremely stupid) change came from the Movie Database, not Trakt.

Black Mirror seasons messed up at TMDB

Just sharing the text of a support ticket I just opened with everyone for awareness. TMDB has changed some rule and totally f-ed up the Black Mirror seasons and episodes. See here.
