Many duplicates of the same List made by Trakt

This more of a bug, than a feature. But recently I was looking at a movie 10 Cloverfield Lane and wanted to look at Trakt Official list, to see how many movies are in this series. Then I look down below and saw, that there are multiple offical list, which seems impossible. From what I thought about this feature was, that there will be just ONE official list from Trakt, which will connect the whole series. There are also different titles in each of them.

I am sure I saw it on other titles as well.

Also I wanted to ask about these collections and how community can help improve them. Recently I was searching for complete list of all Godzilla movies (from the one 1954 to the MonsterVerse) and on the movie Godzilla 2014 I found also numerous official lists, which all were different (one focused on MonsterVerse, one on Kong vs Godzilla and one on the whole Godzilla collection, but it wasn’t complete at all. It didn’t have all the OG movies, or Emmerich version or the newest titles from MonsterVerse.)
Is there any way how community could help those official lists, so they would be ,complete"?

I’ve removed the extra official lists for Cloverfield Lane. You can report the movies in those cases and we’ll fix it. There was a bug that imported some lists more than once. Or there were more lists and TMDB just removed them.

I see these infrequently. Should I file a report from the movie/show pages that feature duplicate lists?

Okay. So even collections are sync from TMDB, okay. I will look in to it and try to fix some of them :slight_smile:

I need to reply to you again. I read the guidance and it said:

Collections are only intended to group sequels together and movies can’t be in more than one collection.

When I look at movie like IRON MAN I see it is in TWO official collections. One is MCU and second is Iron Man movies. On TMDB I only found Iron Man Collection, which is correct. But Trakt mainly use the other collection (MCU), which is incomplete and missing many titles (which I wanted to add, but I cannot see this collection on TMDB to do it…). But that is the same case as with Godzilla or Cloverfield. How we can help with these collection, when only ONE is on TMDB? Thanks.

That also happens when a collection is added to tmdb. Then gets removed because it’s not a valid collection and then gets readded because some user disagrees. And then removed etc etc.just like that marvel mcu one.

I’ve seen it before and reported it. It’s kind the same as with duplicate movies being added time and time again.
