Missing movie entry: Apocalypse Now Redux (2001)

Hi Trakt Support Team,

I’d like to report a missing movie entry:

Apocalypse Now Redux (2001), directed by Francis Ford Coppola. This is a significantly re-edited extended version of Apocalypse Now (1979), adding 49 minutes of new footage, a new color grading, and a theatrical re-release (Cannes 2001, wide release August 3, 2001 via Miramax). It is widely treated as a distinct cinematic release — with its own Rotten Tomatoes entry, IMDb listing (tt0078788, alternate version), and a separate soundtrack release.

I’m aware that TMDB currently does not support alternate versions as standalone entries, which is likely why this film is absent from Trakt as well. I’d like to ask whether Trakt has any internal mechanism to accommodate notable re-releases of this kind — or whether this is something your team could raise with TMDB on behalf of users.

In the meantime, I’ll log the watch under the original 1979 entry, but wanted to flag this gap for your awareness.

Thank you for the great platform.
