More option to personalize lists would be nice

I made a list called “Dropped” where I saved all shows and movies I do not want to continue.
But I still need to remove them from calendars and progress view manually.

I would be nice if, when we create lists, we could have more options like

  • Does this list shows its data in progress view (if only in this list)
  • Does this list shows its data in calendar view (if only in this list)
  • Does this list is exclusive ? (adding to this list, will remove from other lists)

I’m sure there can be other interesting options to add so it can remove some manual manipulation.

Interesting suggestions. The first 2 can essentially be done by hiding shows for the progress and calendar views. Those get places into your hidden items, which are essentially lists – https://trakt.tv/settings/hidden

I understand what you mean that it’s more work to hide it in 2 places. I think a better solution would be to combine that into a single “drop” option, presumably on the show page itself. This is something we’ve thought about before and is on the long term roadmap.

What is the use case for wanting this? I can see this being confusing, especially if you’re managing lists on the website and other apps. You might not realize or forget why items are being removed from other lists. And there wouldn’t be a way to undo it.

It was more an idea of actions linked to a list.

“Here are the actions triggered when a new item dropped in this list” was my idea.
Mainly.

As for the Exclusive idea is that items I have in my dropped list are not anywhere else (normally).
So it was a way to remove them automatically.
