When I am on the official Android client or the Website itself, the recommended movies appearing are 90% already watched, maybe 1 or 2 will be something new. This just started overnight, not sure if there was a change there.

I don’t know a time when Recommendations didn’t show me a bunch of stuff I’ve already watched. But I hadn’t used it in a while. Are you saying it was actually fixed before now?
It had been working, then it stopped and they had to increase a limitation they had set, but now the issue is back.
This likely means the limit I raised it to was exceeded again. If you hid a large amount of movies recently, that would push it over the edge for example.
I am guessing so as well, and I referenced the original ticket in my new one.
Is there a way to drastically increase the limit? Or remove it altogether?
No, the limit can’t be removed because at some point it will become a performance issue. It actually runs recommendations through our search service, which is why it needs to send a list of items to exclude. We never had feedback this limit was an issue until your account. The main difference is you hide a lot of items. I’m thinking about alternate ways to approach this, but I don’t have any ideas yet.
The way recommendations work, the only way to do it, that I can tell. An alternative would be great, but there is no filtering there.
If you added filtering there, an easy workaround would be to add to a list, and have it ignored via filters.
