Sorry, but âContinue watchingâ is just a plain list of unfinished shows. Not even remotely comparable with the depth, personalization and data richness of the âProgressâ page we had in V2.
I canât seem to start a new topic I. Feature request but PLEASE give us a way to separate movies and tv on the discover pages. I want to see upcoming tv shows. Itâs how I keep up with tv. I donât want to slog through a bunch of movies to find them.
This new UI is fscking terrible and it doesnât even work! The âContinue watchingâ section displays a ton of shows Iâve already watched as being only partially watched, but then when I go and view the show details themselves, it does display everything there as having been watched!
Just the UI design itself is way too damn busy and nonsensical. Like, say, if I go and view a show or a movie, why do I still have to do extra clicks to bring up a separate popup that tells me the details about the show/movie? Why canât the details just be displayed right there? Who does it actually benefit to hide those details?
Oh, just discovered another feature that doesnât work: in the discover-tab, the filter doesnât actually filter out the stuff I didnât ask for. Iâm not interested in anime or animation and yet it shows anime and animation titles whether I tick the filter for them or not!
Even just by design, the discover tab doesnât let me choose the languages I want or donât want, it doesnât let me choose the country of origin I want or donât want or really much of anything at all.
Great job, guys, I hate it. I need to find some other service because this is now just unuseable. The discover-feature was the single biggest reason I was still using Trakt, but itâs just trash now.
Canât use it anymore, bug bug bug.
Donât release this alpha, take your time, or loose your wings.
There are icons across the top center of the pages. Media-Shows-Movies
You likely have it on Media, which is both
So those donât actually exist on the actual Discover pages, so you have to go back to an entirely different page for it. Brilliant! ![]()
Itâs on the top of all pages. It doesnât float, so you have to go to the top of the page to change
But not on the detail pages of the discover sections for some reason
Right you are! Hadnât noticed.
I donât understand the business logic behind forcing people to use a version of the website where a number of features are fully broken or missing completely and then asking for them to pay a subscription fee. But then again, I guess Iâm not one of the Big Brains in charge of this companyâŚ
When you drop a show on the home tab you end up getting an error page for âservice unavailableâ it still drops the show after a refresh but really confusing it does that.
To the Trakt team: reverse this change, please. I am a user since 2015, and the website was perfect the way it was in v2. There was nothing that needed to change, only maintain the great website that it was. This new update is horrible, and I really mean it, it is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. I am seriously considering moving to another website to track my stuff, and I never even thought of this before this update.
Temporary workaround to mark episodes as watched before US air date
Hi everyone,
I found a small workaround for the current issue where episodes that havenât aired in the US canât be marked as âwatchedâ for other countries.
Using your browserâs developer tools (Inspect element), you can remove the disabled attribute from the âMark as Watchedâ . After that, the button becomes clickable, allowing you to mark an episode as watched even if it hasnât aired in the US yet.
Please note this is just a temporary hack until removal of this annoying feature.
I hope this helps others while an official fix or improvement to the UI is implemented.
Is there a way to see my history and not the calendar view?
To be able to filter that history by film or show and sort by ratings.
Is everyoneâs profile essentially blank now? Whereâs my ratings bar chart?
Why has the 10 point scale changed to 5 stars? Why canât I see what Iâve rated unless I go to that film/showâs page? Where are the season pages/ratings?
Donât get me wrong the UI changes are bad, but what really affects me is the removal of all the features that Iâve used every day for years.
Yes, additional click are cumbersome when you have multiple history items to check.
vs
Took me a while to find this..
Airdate and actual watch date should be visible on main page itself.
Oh I didnt say it was GOOD, but that is the closest thing to a v3 alternative that they are offering.
Please give us v2 backâŚ
I am a vip member for over 12 years now and have loved trakt all that time, until now. The new apps and lite version are absolutely awful and I find it harder to find the link to the original layout. The new layouts are missing all of the additional features I use and if these disappear altogether then trakt is no longer any use to me. Just give us back what we had and paid for.
This was back in OctoberâŚthings are still a mess
