Wow. Going from $30/year to $60/year is simply not happening for me.
Really sad I’m going to have to cancel after NINE years, but I just don’t get enough from Trakt to justify a 100% price increase.
I can get a subscription to an actual streaming service for that!

Currently the sub costs $2.50 per month ($2.50 x 12 = $30), with the current increase in price coming the 20th it’ll raise it another $2.50 per month so it’ll now be $5 a month ($5 x 12 = $60), if we took your idea of an extra $10 a month ($2.50 + $10 ($12.50 a month)) that would be $150 a year instead of $60 a year which I don’t think you would like at all unless you mistyped and meant an extra $10 a year instead of month.
Agreed. You cannot just suddenly DOUBLE the price, during cost of living crisis.

I feel Trakt Loyalty to it’s users ends when it doubles the cost. Sadly my loyalty to Trakt will end at the same time.

I don’t renew until November but I just cancelled my payment settings. Sorry, double the price with nothing else to offer after telling me “Thanks” just doesn’t sit right. This is a cash grab considering the owners claimed that “Trakt doesn’t have a revenue problem”
Same here - renewal only in January, but will have to move to alternatives. Already did look at some when free tier became unusable, so I think I have options to replace Trakt… Really sad to see the greedy downfall

I remember the absolutely deafening cricket sound after I asked Justin why they’re making such sweeping changes to squeeze more revenue out of users if there is no revenue problem.
Thankfully I have until next May to decide if 4x the VIP price is worth it for me. What thanks for 11 years of loyalty, huh?

But instead - and I know you heard it before- you double the price!!! For what reasons?? Everything gets more expensive all the time - be it power, hardware or whatever … but that is not only for you, we also suffer (and I mean that). After enteriing user and password it goes back to the selection of the services and I can „log in“ again instead of a „synced“ button like the others have…

Some advice, fire the management team that made a 100% price increase decision before you collapse. I have never seen a worse decision for a service such as this ever before. Too bad for the core geniuses that built this platform and love it who now have to watch it decay away due to some imbecile management. Hopefully the developers already cashed out and have the next best thing already drafted. Already cancelled, 5+ years.
