I make lists where I rank my favorite episodes from a particular show whether it be Rick and Morty or Love, Death & Robots. It would be cool that instead of the cover picture in the list being the show’s cover picture, the picture was the episode picture.
For example the episode Suits would use the picture listed on its page instead of what you see in the other picture below where all the icons are the same.
I agree having episode art for episodes instead of posters would look much nicer, whether in a list, in the all section in history etc. Or at least the option to pick like you can for the calendar. I would still want the option to have movies/seasons/shows use posters at the same time.

It ends up having a bunch of posters of the same show over and over. (Great list BTW)
The main reason I’ve never done this is the screenshots will either need to be zoom/cropped or there would be a bunch of dead space above or below the 16:9 screenshot.
Yes, I see that, but for a list with all episodes I think it would at least be best to have the option to do it. As for lists with episodes mixed in with movies and/or tv shows, I agree that there would be too much dead space.
So I thought about this and why not make good use of the dead space? So this is what I came up with…
I figured you could incorporate Tv show logos that are already being used on the site. And as @jba9 mentioned the lists with only episodes would then be like the history page(4 Wide) when you are viewing just episodes.
