So with all the issues going on with Library sizes and limits etc I’m trying to tidy up my collection to make it more accurate.
Over the years I’ve used a mix of plextraktsync, the VIP webhook and now finally the official plex sync feature.
the TLDR is I wiped my entire collection (I have a backup) and then started fresh with a Plex Sync using the official feature a week or so ago, but it only imported a tiny% of my collection and I can’t figure out why?
What I’m trying to achieve is a full wipe and then sync with my accurate up to date plex library and watch history so I am not sitting with ~90,000 duplicates.
Am I misunderstanding the Plex Sync or should it be pulling everything?
Random extra info is my account is akaNorman2 instead of akaNorman as I left my old account behind due to an API block probably due to me overusing plextraktsync I assume

I’m pretty sure the only way to get this working at the moment is to wipe everything, use the third party PlexTraktSync to push a full current list to Trakt, and then let their webhook or Plex sync take over from there. Though this will push all existing files to “Offline Library”.
I turned off Sonarr / Radarr before so the Library doesn’t change, sync with PlexTraktSync, connect the official Trakt Plex Sync, and then turn radarr back on.
Just not sure if I want to use the Sync feature or the Webhook atm because the webhook kind of sucks and the Plex Sync feature is giving me a 502 error when I try connect it
The added problem is if anything at all mismatches, when you correct the errors it will add it to the Offline Library. And I’m still unable to prevent Plex Sync from shoving everything labeled “BluRay” in the filename to the Offline Library. Kind of futile to take a risk and empty everything just to end back up where I am with thousands of episodes ripped from BluRays in an Offline Library again when they ended up in the Library from a digital sync.
