Reset progress on TV Series to a point.?

I’m new here and thought I’d start off a thread as a total newbie to Trakt.tv.
I’ve contributed to the VIP option in my first week of using it, I like to support developers and really like this app.’

So, me: I’m in Australia, use Infuse Pro 6 with Plex server + Apple products, QNAP NAS.

I have been confused though with “list’s, collections, progress watched history etc”

I’ve set up Trakt.tv with my services, when imported some series are counted as 100% watched, (likely because my wife has watched the series in full), I haven’t though.

How can I reset the watched point, to (for example ) S06E04, is it possible?

This has been the most difficult thing to get my head around so far, as quite a few series has 100% completion, but I haven’t watched all of them.

Thanks in advance, hopefully my first question on the new forum hasn’t been stupid, just kind of wanted to get the ball rolling.

Snowy.

Hi Snowy!
I haven’t seen an option to reset progress to a given point but that would be really nice feature.
What you can do is to go to the season page and remove all plays for a given season. That will save you some time but the process is will be manual.

Thanks for that, I’ll give it a go, as it seems like my best option.

I’ve reset my watched history , so this is kind of opposite to my OP, now I’m I’m watching season 6, my watched history is only on season 1 though.
I’m only on week 1 as a new user, so I’ll play around and do some learning.

Hi Snowy!

Welcome to Trakt  I don’t think it is possible to reset progress to a specific episode or season, but it is possible to reset progress to a specific date. For example, I watched some random episodes of a show on Netflix with the kids I babysit. Then later I actually watched the show for real in my own time. I totally forgot about the reset progress functionality, so instead of resetting the progress right away, I only did that later, but instead of “right now” I selected another day.

If I remember correctly, everything watched after the date and time you input, will still be visible on your progress page.

I think this might not solve your problem though, I don’t know how the import was done. Were the actual dates watched used? Or was it all imported with a dummy date/today’s date?
In that case your best bet might be to just go to the show’s page and manually select “Remove from history” per season you wish to remove. Since you actually haven’t watched it, but your wife did.

TL;DR don’t reset progress, but just remove the plays from your history per season.

I’ll give your suggestions a go, reset to a date, then manually add watched episodes.

I think Trakt has taken my progress from my media server, (no problem with this), because I’m just starting out, I’d like to get it fairly accurate to “my” watched progress , not the families progress

Happy to work out and get this forum up and running anyhow.

In case it wasn’t clear from the other suggestions, as you’re manually adding watched episodes, you don’t need to add each of them one-by-one. Since you’re in the middle of Season 6, for the first five seasons, you can go to the main show page The Blacklist - Trakt.tv and scroll down a bit to where it shows all the seasons. Then you can click on the little purple arrow in the bottom left corner for each season to mark all the episodes for the entire season as watched. That way you can easily get seasons 1-5 marked as watched, and then you’ll only have to do the episodes for season 6 one-by-one.

You probably figured this out already, but I know how things can be confusing when you’re new to a site, so I thought I’d post this idea in case you didn’t realize it yet. Happy Trakt-ing, and welcome!

Thank you for the suggestion, I’ll be sure to do that.

Trakt has all these “little features” that I’m still finding, so any advice is appreciated.
